Sebastian SL Lorenz
Sebastian Lorenz is physicist and holds a PhD in the field of optical metrology. Since 2016, he has been working at the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS). As a senior scientific officer, he is responsible for the optical laboratory (UV, VIS, NIR) and the German solar UV monitoring network. His main responsibilities in the area of solar UV radiation include ensuring the operation and measurement quality of the German solar UV monitoring network, analyzing solar measurement data, coordinating the network, and developing cooperations in UV index monitoring. He initiates and coordinates research projects and supports the development and implementation of appropriate radiation protection concepts.
