Hiroshi Uji-i
Hiroshi Uji-i received his B.S. and M.S. degrees of engineering from Osaka University in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He received his PhD degree in science from Tohoku University 1999. From 2002 to 2004, he was a post-doctoral fellow at laboratory of molecular dynamic and spectroscopy at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Lueven), Belgium. From 2004 He served as a senior postdoctoral fellow at laboratory of photochemistry and spectroscopy at KU Leuven, Belgium. From 2011 till present, he has occupied a research professor position at department of chemistry, KU Leuven. At 2011, he received European Research Council (ERC) grant. He obtained a professor position at Hokkaido University Japan in 2015. Currently, he is running two laboratories in two countries. His research interests are super-resolution optical microscopy, plasmonic nanoscopy, single molecule fluorescence, and drug delivery system.
