Peter Lau
“Dr Peter Lau is a medical oncology clinician-scientist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Linear Clinical Research and translational research fellow in the Melanoma Discovery Laboratory at Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research. Previously he was appointed as a medical oncologist in the Melanoma and Skin Service at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre from 2015-2020. As part of his PhD, he led studies in melanoma brain metastases and was instrumental in conceiving the CHARLI multicentre study investigating the addition of denosumab with immune checkpoint inhibitors in melanoma that was presented at ASCO 2023. Peter is a principal investigator of multiple melanoma and phase I trials with over 25 peer reviewed articles in journals including Journal for Immunotherapy for Cancer, European Journal of Cancer, Nature Communications amongst others. His research interests include investigating macrophages in melanoma and cell therapy for melanoma.”
